Hope~

Optimistic: with a positive attitude; tending to take a hopeful and positive view of future outcomes. Encarta Dictionary: English (North America)

To what am I referring? The new school year begins tomorrow and I am thoroughly optimistic. The past 10 days have been rather hectic and that is putting it mildly. My new partner and I have already completed lesson plans for the first two weeks of school; we planned and decided we would use the same lessons for our classes. No more, “how come Ms. BA’s class is not doing the same thing as us?” This is such a treat to have a partner that wants to SHARE ideas and collaborate. What a new and exciting experience!

I have decided to call my new colleague, ‘Perky” since that describes her to a tee. Perky is extremely organized and catches on quickly. She is nervous about tomorrow but I know she will be fine. Did I also mention that Perky’s birthday is June 23rd which was also my dad’s?

Perky is a jewel and welcome addition to the Social Studies department. Now I just need to work on Teacher X ~ he is still around and as stubborn as ever!! While at our district in-services he attended the 7th grade sessions even though he is teaching 6th grade. Needless to say, he received a written reprimand from FL.

I have some last minute chores to complete so I can get a good night’s sleep. Tomorrow can’t get here fast enough.

I hope your day was super. What was Teacher X's excuse for going to the wrong sessions?

I've taught with a Mr. X before. If we stepped out of line we caught it....if he did he was the golden child. ARGH!

It is nice to read, however, that your Mister X had his hand spanked! There is hope.
