March is getting ready to come in like the proverbial lion – yesterday’s weather was a tropical 90 degrees but what a difference a day makes! It has been quite the blustery day along with a 40 degree drop in temperature. All I needed was a black umbrella to complete my ‘Mary Poppins’ imitation! We have had wind gusts over 40mph, enough to cancel some of the Living History activities @ the Alamo. It has been a gorgeous day but I hope the wind will abate this evening seeing that it roused me from my sleep around 4:30am.
Had breakfast with a longhorn this morning ~ no, not a UT student but a 4-legged one! Chick-fil-A® had a promo for kids with cowboys, rope twirlers and the cow. In a nod to the changing economic times, I noticed that they will be serving fish on Fridays until April 10th. Guess they are doing whatever it takes to attract customers, especially traditional Catholics that don’t eat meat on Fridays during Lent.
