BIG DEAL P.I.T.A. TAKS Test timeline:

· Spent 1.5 hours bored out of my gourd - infamous test administration procedures.
· Grade 8 Reading on Tuesday (1st try) - MUST pass in order to move on to 9th grade! Too bad it isn’t necessary to pass Social Studies – oops, I forgot, it’s not important; even Governor Perry doesn’t think so.

Note to self:
· wear sturdy walking shoes so that I can ‘actively monitor’ students
· eat a healthy breakfast since I will be a prisoner in my room for at least 4 hours before my next meal
· devise a way to inflict torture on our state legislators – let's trade places for a month; they might gain an appreciation for what teachers have to deal with on a daily basis
