it's fun to walk, once you learn how!!

Did I ever tell you that my middle name is ‘grace’- as in short for graceful? I certainly lived up to that moniker last evening. My youngest invited me to a movie as a way of unwinding from a stressful week (both of us). We arrived at the megaplex, goodies stashed in our purses…no way I’m paying theatre prices for Dots®! It was a short walk from the parking spot to the sidewalk leading to the entrance. I turned to tell my daughter something and I am not sure of what happened next; all I know was that the sidewalk was coming up to meet my face. Rather than have my spectacles broken, I placed my hands out to break the fall. I made contact with the cement and then rolled onto my side. A couple of ladies came by and asked if I was okay as I was facing the wall ~ from the back, it looked as if I was crying. Nope, I was laughing from sheer embarrassment! They said not to worry, nobody saw. Yeah, right!

Trust me; I feel ALL the aches today!

b.t.w., my being ‘graceful’ in no way interfered with the enjoyment of the film, JUNO. It was worth kissing the concrete.

ttfn,

~ba~

I'm sooooo sorry. I feel in front of a department store (tripped over the curb) in October. I put my arm out as I fell and all my weight went on my L. arm and knee. Owwwwwww.... I felt a pop in my arm and it is still bothering me. I never went to have an xray but I bet I have a hairline fracture or tendon sprain. I hate to go to the doctor. I felt like such a clutz.

See if you know someone with martial arts training to teach you how to fall without dislocating something, Gracie and eht. Trust me-- it actually helps.

A little yoga to work on balance probably would be a good idea, too.
