August implies summer and yet the school calendar says it’s time to embark on a new academic year. Our crew begins boarding on August 7th and passengers will join us on August 14th. The captain, along with his other officers, has already begun inspection of the craft. The decks have been swabbed and polished!
The Purser will conduct tours for those passengers who have never sailed with us this Thursday morning, followed by light refreshments. If you haven’t already bought supplies for your cruise, we will be happy to provide a list of needed items to make your cruise more enjoyable. Remember that TAX FREE weekend for clothing items begins @ 12:01AM Friday and continues ‘til midnight Sunday for your convenience.
My itinerary shows that I will instruct 7th grade passengers in Texas History and will be berthed on the poop deck. Passengers will use interactive notebooks and learn how to take Cornell Notes. I won’t guarantee smooth-sailing the entire cruise but life jackets will be provided as needed. (a.k.a. tutoring!)
During our cruise, I will provide updates on our voyage. Not making promises as to the frequency but I am shooting for once a week. All in all, I am ready for this expedition into uncharted waters.

Sounds like you have your bearings and you know exactly where you're sailing. Bon voyage!
I have always thought the drama was like a contest to see who was going to provide more: the young, wannabe adults or the over the hill, wannabe young again adults? Just another sick puppy teacher's flip observations.
Tell me more about these interactive notebooks and Cornell Notes. That sounds interesting:).
