There once was a test named TAKS,
Whose quality seriouly lacks.
It builds a multitude of stress and mess,
Which inspires our students to learn less and less.
I wish we could squirrel it away into sacks.
Do you want to be stretched on the rack?
Well, that’s where you’ll be if you’re at the back of the pack!
Something is wrong because this isn’t bliss,
Even fingernails across a chalkboard are more tolerable than this.
Isn’t it fun being at the bottom of the stack?
No matter how you toss the dice,
Odds are this is still a vice.
Rant and rave or go to a cave,
It is our sanity we must save.
Then surely we must put TAKS on ice!
