My youngest turned 23 today~where does the time go? It was only yesterday she was a year old, sneaking sips of her Grandpa's "Schlitz" and enjoying it with gusto. Fast forward: a college graduate who is contemplating a teaching career! Where did I go wrong?
I understand that the INS must question visitors and verify the veracity of required documents before being permitted to enter the country. But why must they grill 70 year old widows and insinuate that they are not truthful? My aunt, who is a REGISTERED alien, went to Canda for two weeks to celebrate her 70th birthday and visit relatives she may never see again. Her trip was quite enjoyable until it was time to return to the U.S. of A. That's when her nightmare began. Unlike me, she chose to keep her snarky comments to herself and is now home in NYC! I don't see anymore overseas travel in her future.
Thanks for letting me vent....

That is so hateful, to grill that poor woman like that. My son in law is still trying to get his spousal visa from England to be here with my daughter and they are giving him holy hell over it. Such a shame.
Thank you for the wonderful wishes to my little boy that you left on my blog!
CP.
I think it's wonderful that your youngest is contemplating a teaching career! You didn't go wrong at all; you steered her in the right direction by your example. (Yeah, I know, you were probably writing tongue in cheek.)
