Painting by Francisco de Goya
This painting reflects my philosophy that one never stops learning ‘til the day they die.
A while back I posted that I am a participant in a grant and must attend Saturday seminars; today was the last one for this academic year.
Focus:
The First and Second Great Awakening: What was the Role/Influence of Christianity in United States History?
Six hours is surely not enough time to go in depth with this topic. We had two presenters from Trinity University share their expertise. The most fascinating and riveting subject was: Foundations of Church Development in the South. I may have a bachelor’s degree in history but it doesn’t mean I know everything! (Been accused of being a ‘smarty pants’ but that’s another story) Our presenters kept my attention and made me wish that there could be a couple more sessions on this topic. Even though I ‘lost’ a Saturday, it was well worth the time being a student once again!
