Graduation

Yesterday I attended the high school graduation of my niece. The ceremony was @ 9:30 AM so it was necessary to get to the parking lot early since it was at the Alamodome. (60,000 seat white elephant) Great venue ~ the whole extended family could attend without a ticket lottery! SURPRISE: $10 to park my vehicle. I would just love to know who is running that racket, I want in on the action. Hadn't we already paid our tax dollars to educate the graduates? It was nice to get "clipped" but it gets better. Purses and bags were inspected ~ any air horns were quickly confiscated. Then the audience was instructed on proper decorum for the ceremony. What does that say about society? What has happened to common courtesy? Overall people did behave. I enjoyed being with my family and sharing in their happiness ~ not to mention that my brother gave his daughter an HP laptop!!
