Let’s just make this short and sweet: 84% passed the Social Studies test. Not too shabby for a couple of rookies albeit we were a tad disappointed as we had set our campus goal @ 90%. Tutoring helped but the students who really needed the assistance did not attend. Any advice from you seasoned veterans on how to approach next year would be greatly appreciated. Ms. Perky and I will stay together next year. FL said that he enjoyed visiting our classes and would end up staying because of a discussion the students were having.

We have seven school days left according to the calendar; according to the students, school finished May 2nd (last state mandated test).
We had our annual faculty vs. 8th grade basketball game on 5-22 and we lost. Needless to say, we had to deal with huge egos and trash talking in class the next day! May 29th is the volleyball game and I hope that history doesn’t repeat itself.
The eighth graders had their dance last evening and it was bittersweet. It is hard to believe that they are heading off to high school. What happened to the little kids I met when they were in 6th grade?

Sorry you didn't make 90% but still glad to hear that things with Ms. Perky and yourself met with success!
I hope y'all throughly crush the kids in the volleyball game. Can't let them sweep y'all too badly! Heh.
Seriously though, hope the rest of the year is filled with fun and fond memories!
