"Water, water, everywhere..."

"The woodpecker might have to go!"

The photo aptly describes the weather here ~ unusually WET for the month of June. I managed to cut the yard Sunday and I may have to cut it again before I leave on Monday! My vehicle wants/needs to be thoroughly cleaned but that's not happening anytime soon. While on my way to check the mail, what did my wandering eyes behold? MUSHROOMS!! Huge, yummy looking fungi growing in a neighbor's yard. Definitely hard to resist...

Off to Dallas for the AVID conference and I hope it won't rain the entire time. I will be lounging @ the Fairmont. (click here)

Points of interest include the Dallas Aquarium and Dealey Plaza and they are within walking distance of the hotel. The trick is to get there before they close ~ dependent on when we get sprung for the day.

The chores are calling so I bid you farewell!

ps. In what work of literature is my title found and do you know the author??

"Water, water everywhere, / Nor any drop to drink"

Lines from “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The speaker, a sailor on a becalmed ship, is surrounded by salt water that he cannot drink.
