Red or Blue???

Today is Election Day!!! You have the power to shape the political structure of our nation. Let's up the percentage of voters going to the polls in this non-presidential election year. If a gazillion people can watch the Super Bowl game on a Sunday afternoon, then that same number can get off of their proverbial duffs and VOTE.

Here in Texas the title of 'Top Dog' is up for grabs. Most teachers that I know don't want Mr. Perry to be re-elected. Not to say that the other candidates stepped up and tried to persuade folks to vote for them. I took care of my civic duty last week with early voting. Now there are no excuses for not voting. You had ten days to do it BEFORE today! Even my students are into voting. We participated in Project V.O.T.E. and they have been talking to their parents about voting. Maybe the seed has been planted and when they do reach the voting age they will remember how they got to 'vote' this year.

I must be going now.. can't wait for the discussion tomorrow in class!
